Across Nigeria, violence against Christian communities has escalated to alarming levels, with experts warning that a silent genocide is unfolding as kidnappings, village attacks, and mass displacement surge. Once-vibrant towns now sit empty, families enforce their own curfews, and armed militants routinely strike rural Christian regions such as Kaduna, Plateau, and Benue. Since 2009, more than 50,000 Christians have been killed and 3.5 million displaced, with thousands of churches destroyed and entire villages wiped out. Local leaders have pleaded for global acknowledgment and aid, but international response remains muted — even as instability threatens to spread across West Africa. Yet amid the devastation, the Christian communities of Nigeria continue to stand firm, gathering in ruined churches, praying in the ashes, and holding onto hope in Christ.
