Erika Kirk has condemned the vandalism of a new statue of Charlie Kirk that was installed on September 10 to mark the first anniversary of his assassination. Just days later, an unknown person defaced the eight foot tall bronze statue outside TPUSA’s Phoenix headquarters with red paint. A sign nearby the statue, which read “May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus, our loving savior,” was also vandalized.
In an X post on September 13, Erika Kirk stated, “They think spray paint can obscure his legacy, but it will only spread it further.” She also condemned the act of crossing out the Name of Jesus with the red paint, asserting, “God will not be mocked.” The statue has since been cleaned and restored.
In another post, TPUSA labelled the vandalism “diabolical” and announced they were reviewing the footage of the incident and working with law enforcement to identify the culprit. The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the vandalism, but no arrests have been made so far.
