A new nationwide campaign encouraging prayer and renewed love for country has been launched in the United States as faith leaders call Americans to seek spiritual renewal ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
The Catholic advocacy organization CatholicVote, together with Zeale Media, announced the launch of “Zeale for America 250,” an initiative designed to encourage prayer, patriotism, and deeper faith among Americans. The campaign was introduced on March 10 and aims to inspire Catholics and other Christians across the country to pray for the future of the nation.
Organizers say the initiative is especially meaningful as the United States approaches the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence in 2026. The campaign invites believers to renew their commitment to faith, family, and country through prayer gatherings, events, and national outreach.
The campaign has been placed under the patronage of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas, and is also part of the America Prays initiative, which seeks to encourage one million Americans to dedicate an hour of prayer each week for the nation.
Raymond Leo Burke, Cardinal and former Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura, expressed gratitude for the initiative, calling Americans to turn with humble confidence to Almighty God as the nation approaches its historic anniversary. Campaign leaders also said they hope Catholics and people of goodwill will unite in prayer, seeking spiritual renewal and guidance for the country’s future.
