A highly anticipated animated musical based on the story of King David is set to debut in movie theaters across Latin America on 12 March 2026, bringing a beloved biblical narrative to life for families and faith audiences alike.

The film, titled David, first premiered successfully in the United States in December 2025, achieving the most successful U.S. release to date for a faith-based animated motion picture and grossing over $83 million at the box office. Produced by 25 21 Entertainment in partnership with Angel Studios, the musical recounts David’s journey from humble shepherd to anointed king, celebrating his courage, faith and love for God through memorable songs and scenes.

Pre-release ticket sales opened in parts of Latin America on 12 February, with Mexico’s presales beginning on 26 February. Distribution through Rola Entertainment aims to reach broad audiences, especially families seeking films that reflect values of hope and spiritual inspiration.

David L. Hunt, co-founder and creative director of 25 21 Entertainment, said the story of King David—”one of the greatest ever told”—has been powerfully reimagined for the big screen. Producers emphasize that the film honors its biblical roots while appealing to both believers and general audiences through universal themes of bravery, faith and determination.

The film currently holds strong approval ratings and has connected deeply with audiences, with many parents noting that it offers treasured family moments and inspires young viewers to reflect on the power of faith and trust in God.
