In a significant escalation of unrest, at least 15 people, including a police officer, have been killed, and dozens injured in violent clashes between Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protesters and security forces in Muridke, Punjab.

The unrest began when TLP supporters, led by Saad Hussain Rizvi, initiated a pro-Gaza march from Lahore towards Islamabad, aiming to protest Israeli airstrikes in Gaza and to pressure the government on pro-Palestinian demands. Despite multiple police blockades, protesters set up camps in Muridke, leading to a massive crackdown by Punjab Police. Security forces employed baton charges and fired tear gas to disperse the demonstrators. TLP activists accused the paramilitary forces of using sophisticated weapons against them. The violence resulted in significant property damage, including arson and vandalism. Eyewitnesses reported that the actual death toll could be higher than official figures. The situation remains tense, with authorities struggling to restore order and prevent further escalation.
