ISLAMIC PRAYERS DURING HOLY MASS!
Catholic churches are sacred spaces dedicated to true worship and adoration of the living God through the holy sacrifice of the Mass. Yet, Europe is facing an alarming surge in church arsons, vandalism, and even desecrations of consecrated Hosts. The recent incident at the University of Leuven in Belgium has shocked millions of Catholics worldwide. In a misguided effort for cultural harmony, Muslim prayers in Arabic were permitted during a Catholic Mass! A video circulating on social media showing a person reciting Islamic prayers in Arabic at the podium near the altar in this revered university chapel has provoked widespread outrage and disbelief.
Canon law 1210 explicitly states: “Only those things which serve the exercise or promotion of worship, piety, or religion are permitted in a sacred place, anything not consonant with the holiness of the place is forbidden.” There is no justifiable reason to allow prayers from a faith that disregards the significance of Jesus’s sacrifice on the Cross for our salvation.
DECLINING FAITH, RISING CONFUSION
When Catholics fail to recognize the real presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and compromise on matters of faith, they dangerously blur the distinction between the sacred and the ordinary. God’s merciful love is indeed vast, but so is His Divine justice. The time has come for the clergy and the faithful in Europe to rise from this deep spiritual slumber before it’s too late!
