The Diocese of Crato has announced that a 51-meter statue of Our Lady of Fátima, the world’s tallest Marian statue, will be officially inaugurated on November 13, 2025, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima in Ceará, Brazil. The monument, built from prefabricated sections, connects local devotion to the global story of Fatima in Portugal and commemorates the 72nd anniversary of the original Fatima statue’s visit to Crato. Designed as a place of worship rather than spectacle, the shrine includes a chapel and pastoral facilities, serving as a beacon of faith and devotion that visually expresses Brazil’s enduring Catholic belief.
