During a solemn high liturgy at the threshold of St. Peter’s Basilica, the Holy Father officially opened the Holy Door to signal the Jubilee Year of Hope. Tens of thousands of pilgrims gathered in the square beneath clear Roman skies.
“Let your hearts be anchored in the steadfast promise of Christ,” the Pope delivered during his homily.
