U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Iran is “not ready for a deal” to end the ongoing conflict, while accusing Tehran of misusing artificial intelligence to spread propaganda and misleading images about public support for its leadership.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump claimed Iranian authorities and their supporters were using AI-generated images and videos to exaggerate wartime successes and display fabricated scenes of mass support for Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. He alleged that some images circulating online showed inflated crowd sizes during pro-government rallies and portrayed military achievements that never actually occurred.
Trump warned that artificial intelligence could become a powerful “disinformation weapon” during wartime if governments use it to manipulate public perception and influence international opinion. He also criticized several Western media outlets, claiming that some were amplifying misleading content circulating online.
The remarks come as the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran continues to intensify, with missile strikes, naval tensions, and cyber propaganda becoming part of the broader confrontation. Analysts say the spread of AI-generated images and videos during conflicts has made it increasingly difficult to distinguish authentic footage from fabricated material.
Trump’s comments highlight growing global concerns about the role of artificial intelligence in modern warfare, particularly its potential to shape narratives, spread misinformation, and influence public opinion during international crises.
