The Lithuanian city of Vilnius will host the World Apostolic Congress on Mercy from June 7 to 12, 2026. It was in Vilnius that Jesus revealed the Divine Mercy devotion to Saint Faustina Kowalska. According to a March 9 press release from Go Vilnius, the Vatican’s Dicastery for Evangelization is organizing the event.
The sixth annual Congress is expected to draw around 5000 faithful from around the world. The program will feature conferences, concerts, and talks delivered by renowned speakers. This year’s speakers include ex-gangster-turned-Catholic speaker John Pridmore, Archbishop of Krakow Grzegorz Rys, Anglican pastor and Alpha founder Nicky Gumbel, and Catholic podcaster Matt Fradd.

Participants of the congress will have the opportunity to explore the “Way of Mercy,” which is a pilgrimage route linking 14 sacred sites, St. Faustina’s house, and the Gate of Dawn chapel that houses a 17th-century icon of the Mother of Mercy.
St. Faustina first received revelations from Jesus and the Divine Mercy image in 1934, when she was living in a convent of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in the Antakalnis district of Vilnius. The image painted by a local artist went on to become a powerful symbol of God’s infinite mercy and compassion for sinners.
