Pope Leo XIV delivered his Angelus message on Tuesday, Jan. 6, during the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord, addressing the faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican. According to Vatican News, the Pope reflected on the Gospel account of the Magi, urging peace, justice and renewed hope.
The agency reported that the Pope said the Magi’s journey and their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh symbolised the call for believers to offer their whole lives to Christ. He stated that believers must share what cannot be kept for themselves so that the presence of Jesus may grow among humanity.
He said that kneeling before the Infant of Bethlehem reveals the true humanity in which God’s glory shines. He underscored that divine life remains within reach, freeing people from fear and opening the path to peace.
Referring to the Jubilee of Hope, he recalled justice rooted in generosity, reconciliation and restoration, adding that inequality must give way to fairness and that the industry of war be replaced by the craft of peace. Vatican News Agency reported that the Pope concluded by urging believers to journey forward as weavers of hope and to choose a new path toward peace and fraternity.
